TOUR DE LA PROVENCE

Le parcours de la 8e édition du Tour de La Provence, prévu du 8 au 11 février 2024, a été dévoilé. Après une annulation l'année précédente, l'épreuve fait son grand retour au calendrier cycliste. Organisée sur quatre jours, la course comprendra 510 km et 5154 mètres de dénivelé positif.
Le tracé de cette année est particulièrement favorable aux sprinteurs et aux puncheurs, car il n'inclut pas d'arrivées au sommet, contrairement aux éditions précédentes qui avaient des arrivées au Mont Ventoux ou à la Montagne de Lure.
Le Tour débutera avec un prologue à Marseille, suivi de deux étapes de sprint (la première à Martigues et la troisième à Arles) et une étape de moyenne montagne se terminant à Manosque. Au total, 18 équipes participeront, dont cinq WorldTeams, avec des coureurs notables tels que Mads Pedersen de Lidl-Trek et des équipes françaises comme Arkéa-B&B Hôtels, Cofidis, Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale et Groupama-FDJ. Le successeur de Nairo Quintana, vainqueur en 2022, sera connu à l'issue de ces étapes variées et compétitives.
