Le 20 avril 2025, Mouilleron-le-Captif accueillera la première manche de la 13e édition du Challenge Thomas Voeckler, une compétition cycliste organisée par La Roche Vendée Cyclisme sous le parrainage de l’ancien coureur professionnel Thomas Voeckler.
Cet événement, qui s’adresse aux catégories U15 et U17, ainsi qu’aux écoles de vélo, marque le coup d’envoi d’une série de cinq manches s’étalant d’avril à septembre dans l’agglomération yonnaise.
La journée débutera dès 9h30 avec la distribution des dossards pour les écoles de vélo, suivies des épreuves pour les prélicenciés (1 km à 10h30), les poussins (5 km à 10h45), les pupilles (7,5 km à 11h00) et les benjamins (15 km à 11h30).
L’après-midi, place aux courses principales : les U15 s’élanceront à 13h30 pour un parcours de 38,5 km, comprenant un grand tour de 16 km suivi de trois petits tours de 7,5 km.
Thomas Voeckler, figure emblématique du cyclisme français, sera présent pour encourager les participants. Ce challenge, qui porte son nom, reflète son engagement à transmettre sa passion aux nouvelles générations, dans une ambiance mêlant compétition et plaisir.
